Smoked salmon..yummy

I don't want to waste your time with a tepid description of the delectable smoked salmon I had two weeks back, so I posted a picture instead.

The week past has been incredibly tiring on the feet. Exactly a week ago, I realised I had an expired passport. Now for the last two years it hadn't bothered me at all.( the last two years I was firmly planted in Malaysian soil ). Now with a trip out of the country at the end of the month, it was a tad irritating to find self out of the documents needed. To cut a long and painful story short the problem has been sorted and I can now return to some form of normality.

Two days after that, I developed an in-grown toenail. This has always fascinated me. How does one get it? I blame the pedicurist...may all her toes rot cheerfully before the month is up. Have you ever realised how important one's big toe is to walking properly? Well it is...very important. That evening, tucked in bed...I had to deal with the throbbing nail until sleep came to me.

Please may this week be quiet and restful.

Sorry to hear about the toenail! :(

Where are you going on your trip?

I'm always amazed about the toenail thing too; how can it just start growing all wanky when it's been FINE for years?

Also that big toe! You can't walk without it! I always remember Alex Haley's Roots, in which...well, there was a heinous big toe incident. A very important toe, that one.

anna: toenail settled:) It has learnt to grow the way nature had intended it to grow. And about time too. Am going to Chieng Mai at the end of the month. Excited to bits:)

gnightgirl:Exactly. I wonder what makes toenails decide...TODAY is the day they grow INwards. You know, I thought of Alex Haley's roots where that slave had his toes chopped off when I blogged this.

It's your pedicurist's fault, I'm sure. She did something to it that encouraged it to grow wrong and has caused you untold pain and emotional distress.

Sue! Sue! Sue!

I am so dying to know where are you going? Is it going to be sponsored by a huge pharmaceutical company? Tell me tell me tell me!!!!!

aunty marianne: The toe has stopped throbbing and all evil thoughts have ebbed away. Luck for the pedicurist. So no legal action this time around.

Jimbo:Tsk tsk. Patience is a virture.....
